The Landsat 5 satellite captured this image of Amman in natural-colour, on December 3, 2010.
The city can be seen as a rough v shape in the center of the image, amidst the brown of the surrounding landscape. To the bottom left is the top of the Dead Sea, with the Jordan River stretching along the western side of the image.
