Planetsave is one of the media sponsors for Farm Sanctuary’s 1st ever National Conference on Factory Farming. I wrote an intro post on this over on Eat Drink Better, another sponsoring site. Here’s that info, reposted in full:

I’ve got some good news for all those who care about decent treatment of animals. Farm Sanctuary is hosting its first-ever National Conference to End Factory Farming: For Health, Environment and Farm Animals this year – October 27-29 in the Washington, D.C. area. Attend if you can!

Factory farming is bad for the environment, bad for our health, and bad for the animals, as I think everyone knows. But if you want some more proof or explanation, or are just feeling hopeless in the face of the problem, Farm Sanctuary notes that “this watershed event will bring together more than 30 world-renowned experts from the environmental, public health, and animal welfare movements to collaborate on a solution to one of the greatest crises of our time.”
