Help Greenpeace redesign BP’s logo in its newest logo design competition.
Well, with the biggest environmental disaster in as long as most people can remember, maybe it is time for BP to redesign its logo. Greenpeace UK has decided to help out.
Actually, Greenpeace got this competition started due to BP’s interest in investing billions in the Canadian tar sands, “the dirtiest oil there is,” but I imagine this unprecedented disaster in the Gulf of Mexico will considerably increase the number of applicants and the exposure the winner receives.
Greenpeace writes, “Your brief is to create a logo for BP which shows that the company is not ‘beyond petroleum’ – they’re up to their necks in tar sands.”
Aside from the winning logo being used “in innovative and exciting ways as part of [Greenpeace’s] international campaign against the oil company,” the overall winner will also get to spend a day with the “top graphic designer” who will help transform their idea into the final product.
