Baby Elephant Sneezes, Scares Himself, Hides Behind Mom {VIDEO}

This is too cute :D. This little baby elephant apparently sneezes, scares him/herself (or gets scared by the people laughing.. or both), and then runs and hides behind his/her mother. Adorable. A good follow-up to our post yesterday on the charging baby elephant.

Useful Reader Comment: “Amusing. But sad to see how close the tourists are, and a potential threat to the elephants. Sadly tourism is encouraging such disturbances all over the world….” Excellent point.

        But the local population needs to make money off their natural resources somehow. Much better that it be through live elephants than through dead ones, and through an intact ecosystem than through clearcutting or monoagriculture. Eco-tourism, with its evils, is also key to saving a lot of threatened species and habitat.
