Vegan Super Bowl Recipes

super bowl vegan recipes

Sister site Eat Drink Better has a great run-down of some delicious-looking vegan recipes for Super Bowl 2012. Below are what the recipes are for (click the link on “vegan recipes” above to see the recipes), followed by one more I’ll throw in there:

  • Game Day Guac
  • Kick Off Popcorn
  • Field Goal Green Salad
  • Winter Tailgate Chili
  • Punter’s Vegan Chicken Pizza
  • Football Whoopie Pies
  • White Chocolate Maple Brownies

I’d also throw in homemade hummus. It’s really easy and fast to make. Ideally, you’d start with soaked garbanzo beans, but you can also use canned garbanzo beans (we often do).

How to Make Hummus in 5 Minutes

So, depending on how many people you’re serving, you probably want to blend up one or two cans of the beans. Then, add some minced or chopped garlic (to taste), olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and any extra spices or herbs you think sounds good. It takes about 5 minutes to make and is delicious! I love eating hummus with rice cakes the most. However, great with pita bread, bread, and corn chips as well.
