Yeah, that’s right, a Beijing architect has built an environmentally-friendly egg-shaped house on the sidewalk in Beijing… and is living in it!
The 24-year-old architect is Dai Haifei.
Here are some of the cool features of the house, most of which you can see in the photos:
- it’s solar-powered
- it has a living roof and walls
- it’s mobile
- it’s made of bamboo strips, wood chippings, sack bags, and grass seed
- it cost about $1000 to build (6427 yen)
- it’s egg-shaped 😀
