This is absolutely, bloody hilarious! đ Generally speaking, I’m a Jon Stewart fan, but this is one of his best clips ever, in my humble opinion. Granted, he did have some pretty freakin’ good material to work with. Check out this video of Jon Stewart tearing Fox News (which he dubs “Bullshit Mountain News”) a new one:
And for a bit more commentary on this (and summarizing of it), check out this bit from Stephen Lacey of Climate Progress:
When GOP strategist Karl Rove lost his cool on Fox News Tuesday night and refused to accept the networkâs decision to call Ohio for Obama and effectively end the race, it illustrated the Republican partyâs belief-centric approach to this yearâs election.
More importantly, it perfectly encapsulates the Republican partyâs stance on climate science. Rather than trust all those scientists who use complicated models and observation, the modern Republican political pundit uses his âgutâ and his âbeliefâ to determine reality.
If you havenât seen the full Rove clip, watch it. Or better yet, watch John Stewartâs take below, which more appropriately points out the absurdity of the incident.
âYou can go through all the scientific gobbledegook you like, I donât believe it,âsaid Foxâs Stewart Varney, mocking New York Timesâ Nate Silver for his âscientificâ approach to poll tracking â a strategy that ultimately proved dead-on correct in predicting the election results.
In post-election coverage, Fox host Megyn Kelly confronted Rove on his dismissal of the Ohio results:Â âIs this the math you do as a Republican to make yourself feel better? One could easily replace the word âmathâ with âscienceâ and sum up the partyâs stance on climate change.
hi can some put this video up on utube Im blocked from watching it in Canada?
