On the Fox News’ Fox and Friends show, a heated debate began about global warming, well it wasn’t really a debate since it was one-sided. It looks like another outspoken environmentalist has drawn their attention. The latest victim to fall into Fox’s climate denial propaganda is no other than Spongebob Squarepants, one of the most loved cartoons by children and (some adults).
In particular, Fox & Friends attacked SpongeBob for an episode in which the role of human emissions (or at least SpongeBob and Mr. Krab’s emissions) of carbon dioxide in global warming is made clear — a scientific fact well understood for over a century.
Fox’s Steve Doocy acknowledges that the planet is warming; but doesn’t understand why. He says “the big question is, ‘is it manmade, or is it just one of those gigantic climatic phases that we’re going through.'” A colleague says “It’s unproven science.”
But for Gretchen Carlson, it isn’t enough that the show tackled an issue of public concern, she just doesn’t understand SpongeBob at all. She said “it’s hard to even follow sometimes,” while another commentator is heard saying “I don’t get it.”
This is basically just another attempt to push their political agenda on anyone who will listen. Unfortunately, they had to pick on a cartoon character, because he may be educating children on the dangers of a proven science.
Knowing the folks that work over at Nickelodeon, I doubt they will take the attack lightly. I imagine we may see an episode in the near future that features a rebuttal to Fox and Friends.

97% of scientists agree that FOX news broadcasters are inbred fools who would not know science if it jumped out and bit them.
Only 97%? I thought it was a little higher 😀
Hard to believe what Fox says. I’d rather educate myself with Spongebob any day. There seems to be a large gap between cartoons and current events, the tables are turning where cartoons portray the world as it really is, and the media portray selected slithers of reality.
I totally agree.
OMG, they actually admitted the Earth is getting warmer on FnF…I forgot about the rest of the story after that…and regained consciousness.
lol 😀
If I have to choose who to believe, I’ll go with Fox News over Spongebob Squarepants. But thats just me.
well, it’s not really fox news vs spongebob, it’s fox news vs 97% of leading climate scientists
You’re so right, Zachary. I really think the people who believe what Fox News has to say about most anything are living in a different world.
Global warming, is true, how and why really doesn’t matter, but cutting emissions and cleaning up our environment certainly isnt going to hurt, as usual, Fox news shares its one sided view, fair and balanced? hardly!!!!!
well said
Global warming is a good thing, keep farting Patrick!
Wow, hope that’s sarcasm
