Earthquake Shuts Down Virginia Nuclear Plant {Video}

As the news spreads about the earthquake that struck in Virginia, many reports are coming in about events that have happened around the country as a result of the earthquake.

One such report is that a Virginia nuclear plant has shut down as a result of the earthquake, which made the backup generators kick in. As far as we know, everything is okay with the power plant, but little is being mentioned about it in the media.

CNN reports: “The North Anna nuclear power plant, located 20 miles from the epicenter, is shut down and in a safe condition, a company official and the Louisa County public information office report. There has been no release of nuclear material, Louisa County spokeswoman Amanda Reidelbach said.”
