The high resolution footage of the rover Curiosity landing on Mars has finally been released. This is the first footage of a spacecraft landing on an alien planet, and is in surprisingly high resolution.
It’s definitely worth a watch.
Curiosity has just finished doing most of its system checkups and is preparing to begin its journey to its first target, the Glenelg site.
The Glenelg site is a unique meeting site of three different terrain types and could hold clues about the past presence of water on the Martian surface.
After its detour to Glenelg the Curiosity rover will begin its journey up the massive Mount Sharp, the primary target of its mission to investigate the possibility of past or current life on Mars.
