Chance to Win a $200 Whole Foods Gift Certificate & More, Courtesy Mitsubishi i

The good folks over at Mitsubishi i are sponsoring a cool giveaway for Planetsave readers. You have a chance to win:

Before telling how you can enter to win this prize package, however, let me tell you a few things about the Mitsubishi i that might surprise you….

If you’re not familiar with the Mitsubishi i (or i-MiEV), it’s a new electric vehicle (EV) with a tremendous MPGe rating and a surprisingly affordable price tag. Here are some of its key details and awards:

  • 112 combined MPGe!
  • EPA’s fuel economy leader / most efficient car in production
  • 100% electric
  • ‘The Greenest Vehicle of 2012′, according to the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy
  • net MSRP* after the federal tax credit = $21,625 for the standard ES model (note that state and city EV tax credits may also be available to you, and note that you’d save some serious cash in operation costs driving this vehicle compared to a conventional gasoline-powered vehicle)
  • net MSRP* after the federal tax credit = $23,625 for the SE version

We’ve written about the i-MiEV several times over on sister site CleanTechnica in recent monthsif you want to learn more of the details.

You can also find a Mitsubishi i dealer near you or schedule a test drive today to get an even closer look at the vehicle.

And, of course, you can keep a close eye on the Mitsubishi i Facebook page, its Twitter feed, the Mitsubishi i channel, or CleanTechnica for the latest news on this pioneering EV.

Whole Foods / Mitsubishi i Giveaway

  2. Share this post via at least one social media network (i.e. on Facebook, Twitter, StumbleUpon, LinkedIn, Pinterest, etc.)

The giveaway will close at 11:59pm on June 13, and I will randomly pick and announce the winner on June 14.

  1. I like that it’s “most efficient car in production” and “100% electric”. It’s fascinating to see what the world comes up with.

  2. It’s a good, inexpensive car, with even better, less expensive fuel!
How do you know if I shared this or not?

  3. I really love that is electric. It would save me a tremendous amount of money not having to rely on all that gas to get me everywhere!

  5. I would love to buy one for driving to work daily and for running errands. It’s electric and that is so cool and no emissions.

  6. aware of environmental problems..appreciate companies trying to eleviate them. electrical is certainly one way!!

I love the idea of electric vehicles. I have heard they have 100$ torgue at all speeds and they can really excelerate. Friends who have driven one say they are amazing in the way they handle. If you love the feel of driving, you will love the way an electric vehicle compares to a dirty energy car that is sloppy.

  8. There is a lot to love about this car! The savings over time would have to be my favorite, but I like that it is 4 day and still pretty spacious at times (so a good option for parents with kids in tow.)

  9. James Zampathas

What’s not to like with 112 combined MPGe and being the EPA’s fuel economy leader and most efficient car in production that is 100% electric you can see why it was chosen as ‘The Greenest Vehicle of 2012′, according to the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy. The cost is reasonable, and I would consider buying one. I want a solar charging station in my driveway as well.

I’m going to seriously look at the Mitsubishi i for our next car, I didn’t even know Mitsubishi made an electric car and the other car brands with electric cars are a lot more pricey.

  11. I love that it is good for the environment and does not rely on gasoline. I shared this on Facebook.

  12. I love that it relies solely on electric energy. So much better for the environment. I am currently in the market for a car and will definitely be checking this one out!

    1. we had a very short-term issue with our sharing plugins, but they are back now. if they were gone though, all you would have to do is copy the url and paste it into a status update on your facebook page. Or do the same on Twitter or Google+.

  13. I like the size of it. It would be easy to load and unload groceries and such. Good price and economical to run. It looks like it would be fun to drive!

  14. There is nothing I like more than to see companies helping to save the planet. I’m big into cutting back, conserving and recycling. Americans are so spoiled with big vehicles and using as much gas as they want without ever thinking of the consequences. We have the “do it and think about it later” attitude, as long as I’m happy. It’s that attitude and lifestyle that has gotten us into the mess we are in.

  15. The price is actually one of the best features – I really thought
electric cars were much more expensive. the savings on gasoline
would be great considering gas prices these days

Well Green is very important to conserve the inviroment. The i-MIEV is just the thing to lower the Carbon footprint and save on fuel and other resources. Thanks Mitsubishi for all the hard work done to bring this great car to market!

  17. Carmen Lebron

Shared on Facebook, tweeted it on Twitter, shared by pinning it on Pinterest, shared vai G+1 as well

  18. Just Wow! The greenest car of 2012! 112 (did I READ that right?) combined mpg! And, AND a very reasonable price tag – this equates to be a responsible citizen of earth all the way around = Awesome!

  19. THe fuel efficiency would be the most cool feature for us! My husband commutes to a military base out of town each day and we are looking to find ways to save money on gas. I also shared via Pinterest, Facebook and Twitter! Thanks!

  20. The most awesome thing has to be that it has a $7500 tax credit, on top of all the money you would be saving on gas, that its a pretty amazing deal!

  21. 112 mpg???? Wow. I do a lot of little short trips- and I’m spending more and more money on gas lately. This little car would be awesome!!!!!!

  22. The price seems really great for an electric car – my friend from
college has an electric car and I believe he paid much more than that for it – That federal tax credit is good.

imagine the money you could save on gas!

  23. michelle fuller

I like that the i-MIEV runs up to 112mpg! That’s an improvement over the hybrid I was considering.

  24. JODI HARRINGTON

Wow, 112 MPG! I thought my Saturn getting 33 MPG was good. I love my Saturn but I would rather have something that goes 112 MPG! I’m flabbergasted…

  25. Kathy Tillman

It’s cute, it’s electric and has a tremendous MPGe rating and a surprisingly affordable price tag. What more could you want?

  26. Shannon Schulte

I love how it’s electric and eco-friendly! My husband drives over 45 minutes each way to and from work! The i-MiEV would be the perfect car for him!

  27. I think that it is EPA’s fuel economy leader / most efficient car in production is really awesome!! This definitely seems like the best car out there!

  28. i think its quite awesome that it’s ‘The Greenest Vehicle of 2012′
and just imagine how much money you’d save on gas!

  29. I love the fuel economy. 112 combined MPGe sounds awesome! I’m going to have to find out more about this car.
