Are they useful and positive or degrading and harmful?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">PETA has gotten a lot of attention due to its controversial <strong>Go Vegetarian<\/strong> ads featuring naked or nearly naked models and actresses over the years. Some people love them, and some think they are completely degrading to women. What&#8217;s your take on these ads?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Two of the newest are &#8220;<strong>PETA&#8217;s first-ever naked veggie testimonial PSA<\/strong>&#8221; featuring Alicia Silverstone and one featuring an extremely airbrushed Pamela Anderson.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Personally, I don&#8217;t really see anything wrong with these except for the extreme airbrushing of Pamela Anderson that I think makes girls and women everywhere think that they should look so &#8220;perfect.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The ads are bringing more attention to the important cause of <a href=\"http:\/\/planetsave.com\/2010\/08\/13\/going-green-tip-3-go-vegetarian-or-vegan\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">vegetarianism<\/a>. If they make more people eat more <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sustainablog.org\/categories\/natural-foods\/vegan-food\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">vegetarian food<\/a> and less meat, I think that is surely a good thing.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">And the women, in these ads at least, look <strong>strong<\/strong> and confident.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">But I know others have a different view.\u00a0What&#8217;s your take on these ads?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What do you think of the new PETA ads &#8212; a naked Alicia Silverstone video ad and another nearly naked Pamela Anderson ad?
