The news? It was <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">hot<\/span><\/em>, hotter than it should be, hotter than anyone (who doesn&#8217;t believe in climate change) could have ever guessed it would be, and it <a href=\"http:\/\/planetsave.com\/blog\/blog\/2010\/05\/18\/hottest-april-hottest-january-april-on-record-noaa-confirms-nasa-findings\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">continued to break major heat records<\/a>.<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Some highlights from the report and a chart, via <a href=\"http:\/\/climateprogress.org\/2010\/07\/15\/noaa-june-record-temperatures\/?utm_source=feedburner&amp;amp;utm_medium=feed&amp;amp;utm_campaign=Feed:+climateprogress\/lCrX+(Climate+Progress)\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Climate Progress<\/a>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>June was the fourth consecutive month that was the warmest on record for the combined global land and surface temperatures (March, April, and May were also the warmest). This was the 304th consecutive month with a combined global land and surface temperature above the 20th century average. The last month with below average temperatures was February 1985.<\/li>\n<li>It was the warmest June on record for the land surfaces of the globe. Previous record was set in 2005. The land surface temperature exceeded the previous record by 0.11\u02daC (0.20\u02daF). This large difference over land contributed strongly to the overall global land and ocean temperature anomaly\u2026.<\/li>\n<li>The year-to-date (January-June) combined global land and ocean temperature was the warmest on record\u2026..<\/li>\n<li>2010 surpassed 1998 (Feb, Jul, Aug) for the most \u201cwarmest months\u201d in any calendar year\u2026.<\/li>\n<li>Each of the 10 warmest average global temperatures recorded since 1880 have occurred in the last fifteen years. The warmest year-to-date on record, through June, was 1998, and 2010 is warmer so far (note: although 1998 was the warmest year through June, a late-year warm surge in 2005 made that year the warmest total year):<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Yeah, ten warmest years on record are since 1995 and 2010 is looking like it might be the hottest. Could it be global warming?<\/p>\n<p>And this is just one piece of the scientific evidence that has convinced <a href=\"http:\/\/planetsave.com\/blog\/blog\/2010\/06\/27\/the-scientists-do-agree-on-global-warming\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">97% of climate scientists<\/a>, as well as hundreds of other scientists and <a href=\"http:\/\/planetsave.com\/blog\/blog\/2010\/05\/07\/255-leading-scientists-11-nobel-laureates-write-letter-supporting-climate-scientists-climate-science\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">nobel laureates<\/a>, that it is happening, and that we are causing it.
