Surely anyone would be able to tell the difference between a large dog and a huge cat. A zoo in China reportedly put a dog in a cage but labelled it as lion. The zoo is in Louhe, located in the province of Henan.<\/p>\n

“The zoo is absolutely trying to cheat us. They are trying to disguise dogs as lions,” explained a visitor. (Source: CNN<\/a>)<\/p>\n

In one of the photographs on CNN, it appears that the fur has been combed to more resemble a lion’s. The ‘lion’ was a Tibetan Mastiff. This a large hairy dog that does not resemble a lion very much, due to the smaller size, much smaller head and brown fur that is not even close to the same beige color of lion fur.<\/p>\n

An official at the zoo explained that lion<\/a> was away for mating, but there was also speculation that facility was trying to cut costs. At least one dog was found in a wolf cage and a fox was in a leopard cage.<\/p>\n
