The European Space Agency, the UN’S World Meteorological Organization, and the Alfred Wegener Institute for Polar and Marine Research are among the leading authorities reporting a record depletion of the ozone layer over the Arctic. Two Tropical Cyclone Names Retired from List of Atlantic Storms

The World Meteorological Organization’s hurricane committee have retired two cyclone names from the official rotation of Atlantic storms, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. The names - Igor and Tomas - were removed due to the deaths and damage caused during their 2010 iterations
