The first ever global network analysis of transnational corporations (TNCs) lays bare the “architecture” of the global ownership network. Specifically, the analysis reveals a “super entity” of 147 TNCs that have a control interest in 40% of all TNCs in the studied global network. The implications for this finding will be studied for years to come and will inform future investigations and national/international economic policies.
Professors Christakis and Fowler explore the nature of Social Networks (SN) and reveal the rules that govern how these networks form. Knowing these rules allows us to predict, and possibly prevent, new disease epidemics.
