Or do you? Itâs time to pay attention to climate change nowâas if it wasnât back in 1800, when our current problems started. We all need to acknowledge that stunning industrial achievements can carry with them enormous unforeseen risks and challenges. Americans should take particular note, because on the whole we are wa-a-a-y behind on this.
The LA Times and Washington Post arenât the only major media outlets that are starting to tear into the Republican party and other global warming deniers for their absolute rejection of science. USA Today, which I think has really turned things around in recent years and has some of the best climate change coverage of any major newspaper company, had an excellent editorial on the matter recently, one that compares climate science deniers to âbirthersâ (the folks who didnât and maybe still donât believe that Obama was born in the United States).
