Did you know that your toilet accounts for over a quarter of your household water usage?
According to a study, though an albeit somewhat dated one (1999), by the American Water Works Association Research Foundation, toilet flushes use 26.7% of the total water used in your household
Unfortunately, you could be wasting a gallon of water per flush — every flush. I was.
Fortunately, I found a simple 10-minute fix using a new toilet tank part that cost me all of about $10 or $12. And bonus, just about anyone would be capable of making this fix. No special DIY skills needed.
I was so shocked at my own test of how much water I was wasting per toilet flush that I decided to shoot a video showing exactly how much water I was wasting and then showing how I save all that water after the quick fix.
