Finance Manager: Rainforest Alliance

Job Description: The Finance Manager will be a key member of the Rainforest Alliance-HQ Finance & Administration unit. S/he will provide critical support to the regional Field and Implementation Group (FIG) team in monitoring, analyzing and reporting the financial performance of their programs/projects. S/he will work closely with the Director of Finance to develop and manage budgets, improve financial operations and processes and monitor financial performance in accordance with approved work plans. Community Organizer, Baltimore: Food & Water Watch

Job Description: We are hiring community organizers to educate the public and build strength in numbers so we can ensure our water is safe and healthy to drink, our communities are toxin free, and our systems of government protect the health of all citizens equally. Park Patrol Officer: SF Parks & Rec

Job Description: The 8208 Park Patrol Officer is the entry-level class of the series that is responsible for providing public safety, park information and protecting properties of the Recreation and Park Department. Under general supervision, 8208 Park Patrol Officers patrol assigned areas on foot, by bicycle, truck, and patrol car in connection with preventing damage, destruction or theft to park and recreation grounds and facilities; and performs other duties as required.

Requires responsibility for: following published general orders and established procedures in carrying out patrol assignments; making contacts with the general public in connection with the enforcement of Park codes, Health and Safety codes, Municipal police codes and other applicable laws and regulations; preparing and completing departmental routine reports on daily patrol activities.

Nature Camp Instructor: Wild Bear Mountain Ecology Center

Job Description: Wild Bear Mountain Ecology Center is seeking qualified educators to lead specific groups in our nature camps during summer 2016. The position entails reviewing programs offered and planning enriching hands-on nature camps utilizing existing materials as well as your own creative resources. Programs take place outdoors at our property at Mud Lake or on trails surrounding the Nederland area as well as within Wild Bear Center.

  • Instructors lead programs from 9am-3:30pm and are expected to arrive by 8am and leave no earlier than 4pm.
  • Location: Based out of Wild Bear Mountain Ecology Center in downtown Nederland.
  • Duration: Staff training May 31-June 3; programs run June 6-August 12.

Farm-Based Educator: The FARM Institute

Job Description: Summer Farm-Based Educators (FBEs) are responsible for development, implementation, and evaluation of farm-based educational programming during 9 weeks of summer programs. These programs include a weeklong day camp for ages 4-17, daily programs for visitors, and parent and child programs for 2-4 year olds. Educators are expected to model and impart The FARM Institute’s mission and values through example and engagement with their students, farm families, and farm visitors. FBEs will work with different age groups throughout the summer and should be prepared to perform other farm work if necessary.
