Win a 2015 Tesla Model S in This Raffle

The Illinois Solar Energy Association (ISEA) is raffling off a Tesla Model S to one lucky winner of their 2015 auction, who will get to drive all electric afterward in brand new 2015 EV. The raffle is only open to US residents, and a total of 2,000 tickets are being sold, which can be bought until December 1st at the ISEA online storefront at the cost of $100, or 4 for $300.

What better way to get a $71,000 state-of-the-art electric vehicle than by putting in $100 and getting a 1 in 2000 chance to win one? Considering how high the monthly payments on a 2015 Model S would be, that might be the best chance that most of us will have to get behind the wheel of this high performance EV, at least until the coming electric vehicle revolution helps prices (and driving range) hit the sweet spot for the majority of drivers.

The drawing for the winner of the 2015 Tesla Model S will be held on December 10th, 2015, 7PM CST, during the annual membership meeting of the ISEA, and the winner will be notified by phone.

There is actually another raffle being held by the ISEA as well, but only for Illinois residents, and the winner will receive a free installed 4 kW home solar array. Tickets for that raffle cost $40 each, or 3 for $100, with a total of 1200 tickets being sold, and the drawing for that contest will be on April 22nd, 2016. Tickets for both raffles can be bought at ISEA.

The ISEA is a nonprofit organization acting as the Illinois chapter of the American Solar Energy Society (ASES). The ISEA has more than 400 members, including 100+ businesses across the state, and its mission is to educate and advocate for the widespread application of solar, wind, and other forms of renewable energy technologies for the people of Illinois. The organization offers public education and professional education courses, and advocates for strong renewable energy policies on both a state and federal level.

Some of the current projects of the organization include the 2015 ISEA Solar Tour, which allows the community to learn about how local residents and businesses own, maintain, and live with renewable energy. The 2015 Tour took place Saturday, October 3rd, from 10:00am to 2:00pm, inspiring people across the state to make sustainable energy choices to reduce costs, support energy independence, protect against power outages, and reduce carbon emissions.
