WTF? INSANE Keystone XL Jobs Claims in 'Independent' Media (i.e. FOX News & Rush Limbaugh Show)

This is one of the funniest videos I’ve seen in awhile. Of course, it’s also sad as sh**. The peak, at 48 seconds in is sooooooo insane (won’t spoil it for you). Heck, even 2% of that number is insane!

And the end is classic: a quote from the company that would actually develop the pipeline is completely at odds with what FOX and Limbaugh were purporting! Wow, FOX News needs to check in with sane people at the companies on its side before blowing up their jobs claims 5,000%.

Anyway, here’s the video:

As noted in the video, the only thorough, independent analysis on the jobs impacts of this pipeline project was done by researchers at Cornell. That study found that permanent plus temporary jobs could be up to 2,000 to 3,000 in number, but that permanent jobs would be closer to the number quoted by the TransCanada rep at the end, a couple hundred, or even fewer. The Cornell study actually found that the project might cost the U.S. jobs in the long run.

Anyway, what can you expect from FOX News and Rush Limbaugh? Their sole purpose in life seems to be creating and spreading misinformation.
