Save Rainforest, with a Few Clicks

The founder of Planetsave wrote a post here on Planetsave about a month and a half ago regarding his new project, Click it for Good. The essence of the project is that by “liking,” “tweeting,” “thumbing up,” etc. posts, you support companies and organizations helping the environment.

Great project!

The most recent “action opportunity” over on Like it for Good concerns rainforests. Protecting rainforests is critical to addressing global warming and I think this post is more than worthy of your clicks. Check it out (link and intro below):

“Like” this link and save 50 sq ft of rainforest from destruction!

Like, Tweet, StumbleUpon, and/or Google+ this post and we will save 50 sq feet of rainforest from destruction with the help of non-profit Rainforest 2 Reef and our sponsor Nubius OrganicsNubius Organics offers healthy, green products for eco-friendly living. Please check them out and thank them for being a sponsor.

Rainforest2Reef is a non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of the biological corridor stretching from the rainforest of the Calakmul Biosphere Reserve to the Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve to the Mesoamerican Reef.

Of course, countless nearly extinct animals and endangered plant species live in the rainforests of the world, and the rainforests hold a ton of CO2 and are needed to guard against run away climate change. Anything we can do to protect the rainforests, whether it be supporting posts like the one above or donating to rainforest protection organizations, is needed.

Have some more rainforest organizations you think we should protect? Drop their links in the comments below.
