Soros vs. Koch Brothers [INFOGRAPHIC]

One of my new favorite websites, the other 98%, just released an “infographic” (I don’t know if I would actually call it that) on the differences between George Soros and the Koch brothers. It is great so I thought I’d share:

41 thoughts on “Soros vs. Koch Brothers [INFOGRAPHIC]”

  1. This disinfo graphic is one of the worst of it’s kind – It characterizes everything that the Koch brothers do as bad, and everything that Soros does as good – Despite the fact that both the Koch brothers and Soros are 1%-ers..

Soros seeks control over government by the establishment of democracy, and by ruthless banking – He knows that if he controls the money, it matters not that everyone gets a vote.

On the flip side, you have the Koch brothers, who advocate less government control, and seek to gain power by de-regulation.

The sick part is that “the other 89%” supports Soros, but not the Koch brothers, despite the fact that BOTH families are deeply involved in politics, and are definitely pursuing means to their own power – Soros from an economists perspective, and the Koch brothers from an industrialist perspective, but make no mistake – the rich will never relinquish control.

Choose your billionaires wisely: Choose none of them.

  3. Sadly, you left out the part where George Soros was a member of the “judenrats” who did help send people to the Nazi death camps, his convictions for fraud, etc. This infographic is about as pointless as OpenSecrets.org (run by Soros) saying he donated no money to political campaigns – i.e. not very persuasive.

      1. Still doesn’t change the fact that all the “humanitarian” things that Soros is praised for in this infographic are really just political organizations advocating Democrat and progressive dogma.

        1. That is good thing as Democrat and progressive want a strong middle class & help the poor while the right-wing is to maintain power and control.

          1. Keep believing that buddy, neither party gives a rats ass about the American people. The shitty ACA is proof enough that the dems and progressives HATE the poor and middle class.

          2. “The shitty ACA is proof enough that the dems and progressives HATE the poor and middle class.”
Did you read your comment & 2nd the only reason ACA happen is due the right-wingers refused to pass what Obama really wanted aka public option like the rest of the industrial nations have.

          3. lol, yes, because you don’t have any better ones – so you’ll let him take the heat for his bad ones while looking magnanimous.

          4. Ha, nope — when I came over to this discussion he had already replied. He covered everything very well, so I had no need to chime in, so I was thankful for the saved time.

          5. Yes, that is the truth, you are right, except:

            A. The bill we now call the ACA originally was a DIFFERENT bill that passed the house, and was gutted COMPLETELY in the senate, then to be passed by the senate.

            B. The senate had full control over what was put in the bill, and the authors ILLEGALLY refused to allow the public to see it.

            C. The senate could have just as easily put in the “public option” that you are saying, yet they did not – Instead they gave us this mess now.

Keep drinking the kool aide matey.

          6. That is lie as the as once Ted Kennedy died in August 25, 2009 the public option was dead as the GOP could filibuster anything they wanted to do. With no filibuster proof senate the public option became dead on arrival in the senate.

          7. ^ The debate was more on the lines of government funded abortion, not single payer status, which every single one of the Democrats in the Senate that voted for the bill “supports” (they had 60 votes, even without Kennedy) – Either way, the bill they gave us is disastrous, and the idea of “the republicans made us do it, because we couldn’t vote for what we really wanted” is a cop-out – There is no excuse for the mess that they passed into law.

This is the equivalent of me saying “My customers want X, but since I cannot give them X, I’m going to sell them Y, even though it’s deadly poison”

          8. Essentially, the democrats are blaming republicans for their failure to create a “public option” that was acceptable to the American public, and to the representatives in Congress – therefore, considering the blatant failure of the ACA, we have two options for the motives behind the democratic party’s actions in passing this bill:

            a. They don’t truly care AT ALL about the American public, and they are in the pockets of special interests just as much as republicans are.

            or

            b. They passed this disastrous bill to have something to blame republicans for (e.g. for political reasons only) and in order to do so, they put their political motives (their own political power) above the needs of the American people.

            IMHO, it’s a little column a, a little column b.

Keep trusting those politicians all you like, at least now you’re in the minority:

As I said, keep drinking the kool aid – Take the excuses of rich politicians (and yes, the Democrat politicians are just as rich as Republican politicians – few people in congress have a personal net worth of less than 50 million, look it up) at face value, and never question anything.

          9. http://www.cnn.com/2009/POLITICS/10/27/health.care/
Corporate democrats & all of the asshole Republicans voted down as in America the “We the People” opinion could matter less unless the plutocrats give its blessing live some kind of aristocracy. This what happens when you have center-right form of economics. Also the Democrats only had 59 votes which is not enough to end filibuster. The Democrats are the people’s party when you somewhat force their hand.

          10. Yes, that is why they have kept all their campaign promises, and they weren’t just pretentious pretenders… oh wait, they are:

Legalizing Pot (which currently the federal government is still raiding in states that have LEGALIZED pot)

More Money For Education (Despite the fact, all that money goes into rich corporations called “educational institutions” that continue to raise their prices, and students continue to get screwed on government loans)

Better Healthcare / Healthcare for All (Instead of better healthcare, and more accessible healthcare, we get worse healthcare with higher deductibles and costs, intrusions of privacy by the IRS, and even better yet, fines if we don’t have their POS healthcare plans)

More Open Government (Despite this administration having higher penalties, and criminalizing whistleblowers.

In addition, allowing more insiders from news media and corporations to secretly take up posts in the white house and in regulatory agencies like the FDA – even to allowing former Monsanto executives to transition directly into the FDA’s leadership and approve their own report they made while still working for Monsanto.

The IRS targeting individuals with conservative political views, and then refusing to testify in a Congressional hearing which is treason, not a 5th amendment protection, as this was not a court trial.

Stimulus for the Economy (Despite the fact that all the ‘stimulus’ has done is put more money into the pockets of certain rich individuals, and furthermore, using foreign companies to make US government healthcare websites, and further still, to oppose a full audit of the federal reserve, despite the fed being found to have loaned 16 Trillion (at the time it was more than the US deficit) interest free money to foreign banks (we might as well have just donated 16 Trillion to them)).

And finally, the ACA passed with 60 votes for, 39 against, so there were the votes there to provide cloture and end a fillibuster: http://www.senate.gov/legislative/LIS/roll_call_lists/roll_call_vote_cfm.cfm?congress=111&session=1&vote=00396

Keep believing that the democrats are for the people, because they continue to promise “good things” to people, and not give it to them.

Invariably, the cognitive dissonance you are experiencing will cause you to believe the absurd notion that the Republicans alone were at fault for all these bad laws and actions, despite the fact that the Democrats also voted for them – If one is truly for the people, they don’t make deals with the devil – only career politicians who want to get re-elected so they can continue to grow their 50 million do.

  5. Interesting what editing can do to prove your point. Just pick and choose all the “good” deeds Mr. Soros has done and totally downplay the amount of people employed by the Koch brothers whose lives are affected favorably.

It’s sites like these that use scare tactics to sway others into your line of thought. I thought the fight was suppose to be about all “rich” people not just those that give to Republicans/Tea Party Members.
