PETA’s Sea Kitten Campaign Gets Pranked With Steak Ad
Some clever techies confused PETA supporters today by pulling a well-executed prank against their campaign to “re-brand” fish as sea kittens.
For at least a couple hours today, the internet was abuzz with the fact that www.SeaKittens.com had an Omaha Steaks ad smack-dab at the top of the page. But PETA can’t really be that careless, right?

Turns out that the page is a line-by-line duplicate of PETA’s actual sea kittens campaign site, but it’s not owned by PETA at all. According to Alley Insider, PETA has confirmed that the site is a parody and that they are not running any steak ads.
All jokes aside, giving up meat is one of the best ways you can help stop the advancement of global warming and air and water pollution.

This campaign has so much fail. If you wanna be vegetarian then go for it. But sea kittens? Really? This is why nobody gives a shit about PETA.
Now that’s funny, to call a fish a sea kitten, what good does it do to re-name something? Fish is a major food source for the world and not likely to be given up. At least in a few years when the world is eating sea kittens (myself included), we can all thank PETA for the stupid name. As for the steak add that was just fantastic.
PETA is dumb and fish are tasty. humans are omnivorous and that’s nature. end of story. PETA is a waste of all our time. those hippies can choke on their carrots and STFU!
It is a little ignorant to say that giving up meat will stop global warming. If everyone today turned into a vegetarian many thousands of hectares of forest would need to be cut down to make room for all the crops. Also more pesticides and herbicides would infect our water supply, destroying many aquatic and near-aquatic environments.
While what you want to do is laudable you are grossly oversimplifying the situation to further your own agenda.
The only way we can reverse the global warming trend is for us to institute strict population controls and reduce our numbers or start looking at technological ways to sequester methane and carbon.

Giving up meat is not always the best way to reduce the amount of carbon going in to the atmosphere. Buying food that is locally produced is a much better way that just about everyone can do.
Over population is the main cause of global warming.
I don’t think that giving up the delicious and nutritious source of protein known as meat that is harvested from animals will work.
1. Animals taste delicious. Bacon is the prime example of this fact.
2. If suddenly the world was to stop consuming meat, millions of domesticated animals would end still find themselves in a strange position. The land that they are living on would suddenly be needed to farm more crops like soybeans and corn. AND the resources for feeding need to be re-directed to feeding humans as well. The only thing left to do would be to have them killed humanely and let their flesh go to waste.
3. Whole areas of the economy rely on the husbandry, slaughter, and preparation of these animals. Your literately talking about putting thousands if not millions of people out of work, from the ranchers, to the butchers, and even the grill cooks in restaraunts.
4. Most of the animals used for meat, are domesticated versions of animals who’s original environment might not exist anymore. Releasing these animals back into the wild simply would be sending them to death in a more cruel way that any slaughter house gives.
5. Most people really really really do like the taste, smell, and the nutrition that meat provides when consumed.
6. Just like prohabition of alcohol, prohabition of Meat would mean organized crime and a questionable safety of black market meats. Think slaughter houses are bad now? Just wait till it is without the FDA looking over the shoulders the operators? Think about the millions of people that will eventually risk their lifes and those of their families simply because the fabrication process of of their dinners are driven underground?
If I gave up meat that means there would be more cows releasing methane into the air, which is a major cause of air pollution.
yeah stop the slaughter of cows for food and let them live full happy lives farting methane gas every 3 mins of their entire lives cuz that will really really helps stop global warming.
