The devastation you see above is what’s left of Greensburg, Kansas, after one of the largest tornadoes in history ravaged the town of 1,500 the evening of May 4, 2007. The EF5 twister claimed at least 11 lives in Greensburg, and injured 60 or more.
Simran Sethi, award-winning environmental journalist featured on the Sundance Channel and sundancechannel.com, is documenting Greensburg’s recovery as a “Green City” with her new series The Good Fight. She’s also promoting a fund-raising effort to help citizens rebuild their community.
I had the privilege of interviewing Simran about her series and the work going on in Greensburg. Here’s our talk…
