Regional Director: Conservation Legacy – Southwest Conservation Corps
The Regional Director manages and oversees all programs and operations of the region through a coordinated and collaborative structure. The main focus of the Regional Director is to create and maintain highly effective operational programming. The Regional Director also develops and sustains project partnerships including traditional public land management agencies and local municipal agencies, as well as outside funding sources to ensure the success of the Corps’ mission. Each Southwest Conservation Corps (SCC) regional office falls under the business systems, quality expectations, and management authority of SCC. Most programmatic and operational decisions are made within SCC based on local/regional needs and opportunities.

Crew Member: Living Lands & Waters
Living Lands & Waters is seeking applicants for a paid crew member position. Crew members live and work with an co-ed team on our barge for up to nine months a year. Applicants must be willing to work long, sometimes very labor intensive hours. Off-river months are spent working at headquarters in office/shop. Duties include: operating trucks and boats, assisting with the coordination of cleanup, tree planting, and educational workshops, equipment maintenance, deck handing, and more.

Program Manager: Rainforest Foundation
The Program Manager will be primarily responsible for developing and implementing programs related to community planning and sustainable livelihoods. This work will complement the work that the foundation currently does related to land titling, organizational strengthening, mapping and land use planning. The Program Manager will develop and implement projects in close collaboration with partner organizations and indigenous groups in Central and South America. In 2016, a significant portion of the Program Manager’s time will be allocated to developing Rainforest Foundation’s capacity to provide technical support and expertise in the development of culturally-relevant sustainable livelihoods initiatives, appropriate technologies, and renewable energy that deliver economic, health, environmental, and cultural benefits to communities. The Program Manager will be based in NYC and will work primarily with partner organizations located in Guyana and Panama.

The Research and Policy Analyst will research and synthesize the environmental, health, climate, economic, and social aspects of specific aspects of industrial agriculture to develop the factual basis for our advocacy. The position will also examine successful policies at local, state, and federal levels and investigate opportunities to expand them.
