Beyonce Launches Vegan Meal Program
Both Beyonce and her husband Jay-Z have garnered some press in the last year or so for trying a vegan diet. She has gone a stop farther by offering a vegan meal home delivery program in a partnership with exercise physiologist Marco Borges.
22 Days is the name of program and it provides vegan, soy-free gluten-free meals delivered to your home. You can sign up to receive one to three meals a day for 22 days.
“I am so grateful that I took the challenge and credit Marco with leading by example. He is the most energetic person I know and it’s all because of his decision to live a healthy lifestyle. He came up with a great program to get people motivated to make better nutritional choices. All you have to do is try. If I can do it, anyone can. I am excited to partner with him,” explained Beyonce.
The 22 day time span is deliberate and based on the idea that 21 days is the amount of time required to change a habit. By the 22nd day, the new habit should be established. Jay-Z and Beyonce took the 21-day vegan challenge some time ago, and said it was something that was energizing.
The meals in the 22 Days nutrition program are 100% plant-based and organic. Non-GMO ingredients are used and they are dairy-free.
Some typical meals would be: Southern Black Beans and Vegetables, Fajita Kidney Beans, Curried Indian Cauliflower and Sweet Potato Bowl, Ratatouille Pasta with Pesto, St. Martin Veggies and Quinoa Hearty Nut Granola, and Almond Berry Breakfast Loaf
If the vegan meal program does not appeal to you or is a little pricey, the site also sells protein bars and similar products that are also plant-based.
Marco wrote some nutrition tips related to plant-based foods and exercise: “I’m constantly asked, “What’s the secret?” My response is always the same: The secret to optimum health is a plant-based diet made up of the finest organic ingredients!
I believe that consistency X effort = success, in all areas of life!
A little bit every day goes a very long way! People are always willing to do anything it takes to get better once their health fails them. Why not do everything to stay better in the first place?”
