Climate Change is Gay

Climate Change is Gay
Here’s a good book about how climate change denialism has evolved and continues to undermine the public interest. (from PlanetSave)

  1. As a gay person who has researched and worked for environmental causes for 45 years, and been out for 40 years, I find this incredibly offensive.

Mr. Mohr needs to come into the 21st Century and educate himself that the use of the word “gay” as a pejorative has invited extensive opprobrium in the last years. We (LGBTQ people) do not regard our lives as bad or evil, and this is tantamount to what this cartoon is saying.

    Shame on you.

      1. He’s saying a large part of the population is homophobic, or he’s using homophobia as a cute trope. Either way, this cartoon is not a gay thing.
BTW, what’s this got to do with Earth Hour specifically?

          1. Ah.
I don’t seem to follow a lot of Bollywood stars on my Twitter feed. 😀
Haven’t seen anything about it on any of my international newsfeeds for gay politics. Usually that sort of thing pops up. I’ll have to adjust for the Subcontinent. I try to follow gay politics in Asia, seriously.

          2. Listening to noagenda, I came across Genesis Burson-Marsteller, as being behind international cultural promotions (there is another one, but I forget the name)

    1. Congratulations, your knee-jerk defensiveness has proven that you’re an idiot.
The whole point is that he’s making fun of people who use the word ‘gay’ negatively. These same people are also probably too stupid to understand climate change, and that the best way to communicate with these morons is through their own improper terminology.
      I’m gay, this isn’t offensive, you’re a dumb-ass. End of story.

      1. Oh, thank you for enlightening me and showing me the error of my ways. However shall I bear my shame?

I was wondering who the Emperor And Ultimate Arbiter of What Gays Feel is nowadays and I’m sooooooo glad to have met you…

I’m glad your benevolent approach didn’t cause me to feel defensive or attacked.
