Siemens is one of the top wind turbine producers in the world, so of course it has a bit of interest in glamorizing wind power, but the bottom line is that wind power really is worth glamorizing. Wind power is cheap (the cheapest form of new electricity in many or even most places).
Obviously, it’s also super clean. Along with solar power, wind is the cleanest power option available and commercially viable on a large scale. And, luckily, wind and solar complement each other quite well (wind blows strongest at night and the sun shines during the day — who knew!).
Anyway, if you haven’t already watched the video above, check it out, it’s quite awesome (at least to this huge clean energy fan).
I'm the director of CleanTechnica, the most popular clean energy website in the world, and Planetsave, a leading green and science news site. I've been covering green news of various sorts since 2008, and I've been especially focused on solar energy, electric vehicles, bicycling, and wind energy for the past few years.
