With advancements in technology, having solar panels on your home is easier than ever. Essentially, these panels will gather and retain the warmth from the rays of the sun and transform that into energy for your home. Solar energy is extremely efficient, and produces virtually no carbon offset into the atmosphere, making it one of the cleanest sources of energy available.

Many use this energy to power their home heating or air conditioning. Others use this energy and hook it up directly to their hot water heaters and use it for showering and clothes washing. There are quite a few uses for solar panels that will translate into great energy saving incentives.

Now, take all of those environmental benefits associated with solar panels and combine the money saving aspects for even greater benefits.

Were you aware that having solar panels on your home can actually increase the resale value of your home up to 20%? That’s quite incredible really. In addition to that, solar panels will provide a drastic reduction in your energy bills. Your home heating bill can become just a fraction of the cost that it used to be, saving hundreds of pounds each year.

Many governments now will also actually provide homeowners who have solar panels installed on their homes with tax credits. Additionally, more and more people who have solar panels on their home have been able to successfully negotiate with local energy companies for decreased rates.

As you can see, there are countless ways that solar panels can provide a massive benefit to your home and your overall budget.

  1. It’s looking like arizona’s solar industry is starting to lead the way, especially since APS is nearing completion of their solar powered plant which I’ve read is supposed to provide solar energy for over 70,000 homes within the metro phoenix area.

I wonder which other states will follow their lead and how much money this will ultimately save.
