Giffords Shooting: Environmentalists in Crosshairs

The Tea Partiers said “If ballots don’t work, bullets will.”

Today, Arizona Democrat Gabrielle Giffords was cut down by a gunman at a “Congress On Your Corner” event at a Tuscon Safeway. Federal Judge John Roll was killed in the same incident, along with a 9-year-old girl. Giffords is in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the head, but her surgeon is optimistic for her recovery. Nine others are reported injured.

Giffords’ opponent, Kathy Kelly, had a “Get on Target for Victory” fundraiser that involved firing an M16.

Sarah Palin had also “targeted” Gifford, using crosshairs on a map. In response to today’s shooting, Palin posted on Facebook: “My sincere condolences are offered to the family of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords and the other victims of today’s tragic shooting in Arizona.”

    The Tea Party and its members have made it very clear they would use some form of violence to gain what they want.

    They are anti environment- have little respect for anything but their own needs. The air can be polluted, the waters filled with mercury, and the atmosphere with C02- and the Tea Party does not care.

      I have a clean energy blog in my state of West Virginia, aka The Coal state. We can’t use our real names due to the threats we get from Coal companies.

      The Tea Party is funded by the Koch bro’s,we Treehugger’s are hurting their bank accounts. Murdoch just bought up half the land in Isreal to drill for Oil and Gas.

      Over half,if not all of my Family are Tea Party member’s,put it this way they have disowned me. LOL. My neice is a Coal mine owner,I received an Email from her telling me I needed shot for being a “crappie Dem”. All because I sent her a link to our new website. With a story against Palin.

      The “Tea Party has not only split the Nation but families as well.

      But I’m a not afraid of any of them,this is a Free Nation. It’s not a communist country,no matter how much Beck preaches it! I will fight for a Clean Energy in my state and the country.

      They also use the term “Christians”,lol. Well I’m a Christian and the God that I worship doesn’t hate not one single person on this Earth. Not Gays,Latino’s,Dems,or Muslims. My religion teaches love not hate,or judgement of other’s. God did not create this planet to be blown to bits by Mtr,Oil and Logging.
      I’m not the type of person to shove my religion down other peoples throats,thats why it’s a country based on Freedom of religion. Which means “you have the choice to worship as you want”
      But with the Tea Party it’s “Our way or the graveyard”

      I fear until the US Gov. puts a stop to Beck,Palin,Rush and Hannity,more things like this are gonna happen. Just like the Environmentalist in Kentucky that was stomped in the head for holding a sign promoting Clean energy.

      Ok I’ll shut up now,you know how women are,once you get us started we never shut up! :)

    Two of my state rep’s were on this list,this pisses me off! Excuse my Lang. This what the TEA PARTY is all about pure hate. I have a family member who is a Tea Party member. She speaks of a revolution! Is this how they plan on taking our country back,by killing children? The posts on our local news are pretty bad,against her. The way I see it is our state voted them into office after they signed the Healthcare bill. She has no right to put a hit on anyone in my state,or any other. Dang I’m mad! What is it gonna take for the Feds to nail the Tea Party,Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin for terror threats?

      As you so concisely state, “the TEA PARTY is all about pure hate.”

      the comments made by Palin, Beck, & the like go beyond opinion and stimulate this sort of thing. it is really crime
