Climate Change Deniers Making Avatar DVD Release Environmentally Themed?

The Avatar DVD release is to be environmentally themed. Is it because of how much climate change deniers have irked director James Cameron?

Well, if you saw Avatar, you know it had a bit of an environmentalist message in it. Apparently, this upset a number of climate change deniers who, very selflessly, are trying to protect us from Al Gore and climate scientists who just want to take over the world or be super rich. (The fact that they are more knowledgeable about the sneaky scientific magic tricks climate scientists are performing than independent scientific authorities like the National Academies of Science is nothing to question, of course.)

The highest grossing director in history, James Cameron, has responded to claims that Avatar is anti-American global warming propaganda via a press conference where he offered to debate Glenn Beck (who he called “a f–ing asshole”) and other “boneheads”. Perhaps as a final response, he announced that he plans to make the home video release of Avatar environmentally themed.

Look, at this point I’m less interested in making money for the movie and more interested in saving the world that my children are going to inhabit. How about that?

Avatar’s DVD release is coming soon and perhaps global warming disinformers and deniers have stepped on the wrong toes this time.

I want to call those deniers out into the street at high noon and shoot it out with those boneheads. Anybody that is a global-warming denier at this point in time has got their head so deeply up their ass I’m not sure they could hear me.

At the least, he can have this shoot out with them on the home copies of Avatar that countless people will want to buy and via the coordinated media press releases.

  1. I like the Avatar 3D film, especially the story line, not only it brings a completely new feelings but inspiring ideas of humanity. I heard the New Avatar 2 is comming soon, can’t wait to see it again…!

  2. This movie was just a remake of fern gully. A big advertisment for the environmental movement. In any case it had good action and effects.

  3. Not sure if James Cameron will have any more luck “shooting it out” with deniers than anyone else, but best of luck to him… Also not sure why the deniers themselves seem to feel the need to go apesh*t over any perceived message that doesn’t follow their line of thinking…

  4. Does that mean the DVD will be made of recycled materials and packaged in biodegradable cardboard boxes as apposed to plastic? What exactly will be “green,” about the release? I am guessing their will be a sticker or something that tells us a portion of the proceeds will go to an environmental charity that skims 70% of the top.
